About Me
I was born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1953. In the same year, my family moved to Banjaluka, Bosnia, where I finished school and university (I read Law and Literature). I lived in Banjaluka until 1992 when the onset of the war forced me to leave the country. Ironically, this displacement made my research all the more important, the need to record for posterity the growth, ending, and indeed, migration of families. Since then, I lived in Stockholm, Oslo and Köln., and currently I lives in Split, Croatia.
I worked as a journalist in Stockholm for Glas BiH, in Göteborg for BiH Rijec, in Oslo for Bosanska Posta, and as editor for Radio Behar in Norway. I was also a correspondent for the European edition of a leading Bosnian newspaper, Oslobodjenje. I had published numerous essays, dramas, books of poetry and novels and I was the recipient of several literary awards. My published novels are: Bosnian Antigone, Secret Book, The Banishment, Book Blundering, Cinema Bosnia, Karagoz - The Theatre of Shadows, Catharsis and More than Love. Published short stories are Lost Generation. Published poems are Embranchment. Published plays are: Red Chestnut, Children of the Night and Hibernators. I'm also the author of the book of phrases and proverbs, Bosnian Ark.
I decided to publish a book of Kings online, because for several years I have not found an interested publisher.
